In India, we have many Centers of HOPE worldwide that work to help people in every aspect of life. We have built schools for children, vocational training centers, community centers and much more.
Below is a short description of just some of the ways these centers provide for the people of India. Follow the link at the bottom to see voice guided virtual tours of each center.
In Tharangambadi and Chinnangudi, we have built two HOPE foundation schools with United Way International. Together, these schools:
- Have over 500 students enrolled
- Serve 15 villages
- Will eventually have over 1000 students
- Teach English and other skills to children from impoverished families and tsunami stricken villages
Along with MANPOWER, we have built The MANPOWER Vocational Training Center of HOPE worldwide in Tharangambadi, where:
- Over 2100 students have been enrolled
- 1600 have graduated
- Over 700 have found jobs and are now self employed
